 GRB AAU FAQ

What is the focus of the program?

Our middle school programs will focus on player development while our high school programs will be focused on college recruitment. With multiple weekly practices per team, our goal is to see buildable, technical progress as the season progresses.

When does the season begin?

Mandatory weekly practices will begin in March 2025.

Where will practice take place?

Practices will be held at either Aquinas Academy of Pittsburgh, Pine Richland Youth Center, Hampton Community Center, or Sharpsburg Recreation Center.

How many tournaments are included in the season?

5 tournaments, March-May

Is playing time guaranteed if my child makes the team?

Unlike some other types of local basketball leagues and programs, AAU does not guarantee playing time and athletes should not join expecting equal play distribution. While it is ultimately our goal for each athlete to get the most out of the season, there are many factors coaches must consider while determining who will be subbed in and out.

How will GRB Coaches communicate information?

There will be a mandatory parent/coaches meeting at the beginning of the season to walk through expectations. Team specific information like schedules, updates, and stats will be communicated through the GameChanger App and via email.
